Site Details

Golden Square (Berwick upon Tweed)

Archaeologists excavated this site in the centre of the medieval town of Berwick in 1999. A number of layers of remains were found. It was possible to date this site to the later medieval period by using the pottery found there which archaeologist already knew the date of from other sites.
