Chester Crane camp (Ord)
The remains of an earthwork enclosure stand at Canny Shiel. It may be an Iron Age promontory fort but the remains are very substantial when compared to other prehistoric sites in this area. The name Canny Shiel, that is shieling, suggests a medieval association. This is a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
