An aerial photograph of this site shows the earthwork remains of a farmstead. It was probably first recorded in 1337. There are also traces of ridge and furrow to be seen. (1)(2)

A possible medieval or post-medieval farmstead, three sections of hollow way, some terraced ground, several pits, and a bank (earthwork), are visible as earthworks on air photographs. They are centred at NT 9375 4647. The farmstead is visible as a narrow bank identifying a single building foundation that measures 5.5m long by 2m wide. It lies in an area of terraced ground that forms several flat platforms. The hollow ways are aligned roughly west/east and are situated to the north and west of the farmstead. To the south of this site, centred at NT 9374 4639, there are several roughly rectangular pits. They form three groups of two pits - a larger pit to the south and a smaller pit to the north. They are aligned along a roughly south-west/north-east linear bank. Their purpose is uncertain. (3)(4a)
