Kentstone coal workings (Kyloe)
Coal is known to have been extracted in this general area. It is thought that the Fawcet Seam was exploited by opencast methods. However, it is unknown where exactly these workings where. It is likely that they were Post Medieval and used to fuel local houses and lime kilns.
