Coupland deserted medieval village, NT 936311. Coupland was a member of the barony of Muschamp (Wooler). 1296: nine taxpayers. 1312/3: eight taxpayers. 1377 Poll Tax: 29 adults. Hearth Tax 1665: eleven households. No signs of the site of the medieval village. (2)
