Prehistoric enclosure near Ford (Ford)

NT 963353. A triple ditched enclosure of perfect circular form was discovered by aerial photography in the parish of Ford. Scheduled. (1)

A sub-circular fort is defended by triple ditches. The site measures c.120m N-S by 120m E-W and has an internal area estimated at 0.4ha. The spacing between the ditches varies between 10 and 15m. (2)

[NT 9625 3530] An Iron Age circular fort is defended by triple ditches. The site measures c. 120m N-S by 120m east-west and has an internal area estimated at 0.4ha. The spacing between the ditches varies between 10 and 15m. (3b)
