Etal House or Manor is a Georgian two-storey stone house with attic, built in 1748 and enlarged in 1767. (2)(3)

Country house. 1748 and 1767, extended to rear 1888. Original house L-plan with range of 1767 filling in the angle. (4)
Etal Hall was built in 1748 by William Carr and enlarged in 1767. the house was described in 1769 by John Wallis in his Natural History and Antiquities of Northumberland as latetly rebuilt with landscaped approaches. (5)
