Site of Branx Brig (Ford)

No visible remains, and no further information. (2)

Branx Brig, was one of only two crossing places over the vast boggy valley of Pallin's Burn, near Branxton, and was used by part of the English forces (Admiral Thomas Howard's division). En route to the nearby battle of Flodden, 1513. (See NT 83 NE 6). (3)

The army under the Lord High Admiral, Thomas, Lord Howard, crossed the moss by using a track across it, known as the Branx Bridge. (4)
