Akeld Railway Station (Akeld)
This station was built on the railway line from Alnwick to Cornhill which was opened in 1887. It was closed to passengers in 1930. As well as the station building itself, a goods shed, a weigh cabin and a house and cottages all survive. The main building is built from red sandstone and extravagantly decorated. It is now used as a house.
