Newbiggin Point Pillbox (Newbiggin-by-the-Sea)

Newbiggin Point pillbox. Breeze block construction, in good condition. (1)

A Second World War pillbox at NZ 3193 8806 and barbed wire obstruction are visible as structures on air photographs. The pillbox appears to be extant on the latest 1999 Ordnance Survey vertical photography, whilst no surface traces of the barbed wire obstructions are visible. (2a-b)
