Glass Beads (Hepple)

The notes of the Rev J Hodgson include a reference under 'Hepple' to 'Several glass beads, some streaked greenish and white and of this size,' (rough sketch shows diameter 3/4in) 'The beads were not found in the kistvaen but in the land' ('Kistvaen' refers to urns found at Kirkhill See NT 90 SE 7). (It is possible that the beads are associated with Anglian burials, (see NT 90 SE 14). (1)
