Stone axe from Chevington Wood (Tritlington and West Chevington)
Polished stone axe found in Chevington Wood c.1918 was 9-3/4ins long, 2-7/8ins wide and 1-3/4ins thick with an oval section. Exhibited to Society of Antiquaries Newcastle on 28.2.1934 by Mr William Walker of Amble per Mr J Carse of Morpeth. (1)
