Stakeford and Bomarsund War Memorial Hall (Choppington)

Built by the Miners' Welfare Fund in 1925-6. (1)

The hall was designed to be used as a picture hall and also has tennis courts and bowling greens. The architect was Wm Townsend Gray and the builder was the Cooperative Whoelsale Society. The foundation stone was laid on 9 September 1922 and the building opened on 16 December 1922. Includes memorial stones. (2)
