Chapel (Cramlington)
(Marginal) of the chapel of Plessis there is no trace. It was endowed by John de Plessis and was the sister chapel of Shotton (13th century); it had fallen into disuse prior to the Reformation. (1)
'Ruin' (NZ 21827756) at Blagdon Hall possibly built with the remains of this chapel. (2)
Tithe Maps of 1728, 1761 and 1805 give no information regarding this site, and no other information was forthcoming. The 'ruin' at Blagdon Hall referred to is not composed of 13th century material. (3)
The chapel was probably associated with the village of Plessey probable traces of which are discernible at NZ 22987902; or may have been domestic to the hall. (4)
