West Moor Pill Box (Thirston)
NZ 165991. West Moor pill box; now demolished. This pillbox was part of the Coquet Stop Line which extended from Amble to the headwaters of the river Coquet. Any attack was expected from the north as pillboxes were built at strategic points on the south side of the river. The best preserved portion of the stop line is between Felton and Hepple. (1)

Lozenge-shaped pillbox, said to be at West Moor, Felton, constructed of reinforced concrete 1940-1 as part of the Northern Command Coquet Stop Line. Said to be extant, condition unknown. (3a)
