Meldon Park, Grade II*. Country house built in 1832 by John Dobson for Isaac Cookson, with some internal alterations by Lutyens c.1930. Rectangular main block truncated c.1960. (1)

Large ashlar-faced square villa with four-column Ionic porch on the west side, a bay window in the centre of the south side, and a curved office wing to the east. In the middle of the house a staircase the 'size of one in a London club'. In some rooms good restrained stucco decoration of Late Nash or Buckingham Palace type. (2)

1832 by Dobson. Large square villa, ashlar, 2 storeys. Entrance front has large porch of 4 Ionic columns. S. front has central bay window and sashes. Interior said to be good (see Pevsner), with large
staircase, stucco decoration etc. (3b)
