Middleton Bank Top (Wallington Demesne)

This is the site of a large cairnfield. There are at least 60 cairns; some may be modern, but most are probably prehistoric. Several cup marked stones have also been found. These cairns were probably constructed from stones cleared from the land to make farming easier.
