NZ 03098372. Bob Gin Pitt. Two star rated. (1)

A water-powered pump, or coalmill, known as the Bob Gin Pitt, which was built between 1730 and 1767 to dewater Deanham Colliery. It was fed by a leat, which is a continuation of the medieval mill leat which powered Wallington Mill upstream. A new shaft has appeared in the last five years to the west of the coalmill and its is filled with water; the edges still appear to be collapsing. (2)
