Capheaton landscape park (Capheaton)
The landscaped park around Capheaton Hall was created in about 1760. It is traditionally reported that Capability Brown was involved in the design of the gardens immediately around the house and possibly the lake as well. Features within the grounds include a ha ha, conservatory and walled garden, a folly ruin of a chapel, and a lake. Some of the features are Grade II Listed Buildings protected by law. This is a Grade II Registered Park and Garden.
