Round cairn 680m north east of Bygate Farm (Belsay)

(NZ 07507693) Tumulus (LB). (1)

A tumulus 10m in diameter of maximum height 0.5m. Surveyed at 1:2500. (2)

Condition unchanged. A short-necked beaker and skull, in a cist, may have come from this. See NZ 07 NE 17 (HER 10245). (3)

The round cairn is visible as a structure on air photographs. (5)
