Coldstruther deserted medieval village (Capheaton)

A medieval settlement called Coldstruther is known from documentary evidence. In the 13th century six people were recorded there. After this time it seems to have been subsumed under Kirkheaton and was probably deserted by the end of the 15th century. Its exact location is not known and there do not seem to be any earthwork remains visible.
