West Farmhouse (Broomley and Stocksfield)

West Farmhouse, Broomley and Stocksfield. Photo by Peter Ryder.
At the west end of Broomley village is West Farmhouse, built in the mid-18th century. However, it appears to incorporate an earlier structure with very thick walls which may be the remnant of an earlier defensible building such as a bastle. This is a Grade II Listed Building protected by law.
