Welton Tower House (Horsley)
This house is one of the best combinations of a medieval manor house in Northumberland. It has a Z-shaped plan with a north-south hall with a west wing at the north end and an east wing on the south end. It is built from stone, much of which was taken from Hadrian's Wall. The main building was built in the 14th or 15th century, though it has been altered in later centuries. This building is a Grade II* Listed Building and a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
