This suspension bridge was built between 1829-1831. Large stone columns support two large iron chains that carry the wooden roadway. It is over fifty metres wide. The road is approximately ten metres above the river level, and has plain railings. A small toll house stands to the north-west. This is a rare example of an unaltered nineteenth century suspension bridge. (1)
