Cornsay Colliery and Brickworks, Cornsay (Cornsay Colliery)
This structure was used to load coal from the nearby mines into small trucks. Some of the coal was sold for fuel, the rest was turned into coke in nearby ovens. It was built in the nineteenth century.
Two buildings remain, one previously used as a school, the other as a general office for the nearby brickworks.
