Witton Keep, near Witton Park

Witton Keep is comprised of pre-1825 surviving buildings. There is potential historic interest in these buildings relating to the history of mining in the area and the S&DR. This farm includes some buildings which once formed part of the William Pit of Witton Park Colliery, although there were also early buildings on the other side of the road which have now gone. (1)

This site was added to the Local List on 13th November 2023.
