12 Winston Road, Staindrop (Staindrop)

This is a 19th century house, with interesting architectural features. It has a carriage arch and retains its agricultural character at the byre end of the building (1). It is extant on the 2nd edition OS map (2).

Stone built house under slate roof with attached partially converted barn. House of two bays with solid timber door and narrow overlight flanked by single two over two sash windows with two matching windows above. Barn has two sash windows, arched stone cat arch with solid timber doors and retained solid timber loft door above. (3)

This site was added to the Local List on 13th November 2023.
