This is one of a group of seven carved rocks in a cairnfield on the top of a ridge at Bracken Heads. It lies north of the wall separating Folly Top from Barnard Castle Allotment, about 12 metres from the wall. It is also about one metre to the east of a small cairn. The carving consists of six very deep cup-marks, four of which are linked together in pairs by short grooves. The carving is very fresh and peckmarks are clearly visible. The rock is completely covered by turf. This is a Scheduled Ancient Monument protected by law (4).
