Cup-and-ring-marked boulder, Langleydale Common, Raby with Keverstone (Langleydale Common)
This sandstone boulder has a prominent cup and ring mark and a couple of other cup marks carved onto it. These carvings were probably created in the Early Bronze Age or Neolithic periods. The purpose of these markings are not clear, although they may have had a religious function (1).
