Cup-marked boulder, Black Hill Gate, Barningham Moor, Teesdale (Barningham Moor)
This sandstone boulder has several cup marks on it. These are likely to have been created naturally through water erosion, or may perhaps have been carved in the Early Bronze Age or Neolithic periods. This is a Scheduled Monument protected by law (1).
