Cup-marked boulder, north of allotment wall, Scale Knoll, Barningham Moor, Teesdale (Barningham Moor)
This sandstone boulder has four cup marks on it. These are likely to have been created naturally through water erosion, or may perhaps have been enhanced in the Early Bronze Age or Neolithic periods. This is a Scheduled Monument protected by law (1).
