This sandstone boulder has a number of cup marks carved onto it. The panel is located close to a prehistoric or Roman hut circle and enclosure walling.

These carvings were probably carved in the Early Bronze Age or Neolithic periods but may be contemporary with with the settlement. The purpose of these markings are not clear, although they may have had a religious function. This is a Scheduled Monument, protected by law (1).
