Cup-marked boulder, Barningham Moor, Teesdale (Barningham Moor)
A carved sandstone rock, 0.57 metres by 0.5 metres by 0.08 metres. It is situated on Barningham Moor, in the modern sheep-grazing enclosure known as Scale Knoll Allotment. The monument is on the east flank of a small knoll east of Woodclose Gill, 645 metres north east of Black Hill Gate. The carving consists of a cup with a groove running to the edge of the rock. Two further cups identified by NADRAP recorded as part of The Northumberland and Durham Rock Art Project (NADRAP) 2005-2008 (6).
