Anglo-Saxon cross-shaft findspot, Thwaite Hall, Cotherstone (Cotherstone)

This is part of an Anglo-Saxon cross shaft found in the 1980s during building works on a barn at Thwaite Hall overlooking the River Balder. It is decorated with carvings including serpents and dragons. It probably dates to the 8th to 10th century. (1)
