High Conniscliffe (High Coniscliffe)

A piece of stone sculpture from this spot included two winged figures standing either side of a calf or ram. A cross stood on top of the animal. It has been suggested that this was a Roman (AD43 to 410) object, though it may have been re-used in the Anglo-Saxon period.
