Masterman Place, Middleton on Teesdale (Copyright Keys to the Past)
These houses were built in 1823-4 by the London Lead Company to house 25 lead miners and two overseers. They were designed by Ignatius Bonomi. A Reading Room and a building to house the water supply were also built.
