Rough hewn block of stone with a polished granite panel in the shape of a scroll attached to the front. This rests on a rough hewn pedestal at the top of seven steps in a semi-circular bay of St. Mary's churchyard wall on the south side of North Street. Dedication at the top of the scroll: "In memory of / the men of this parish / who fell in the Great War / 1914-1919" with 60 names listed below in two columns. Dates of WW2 are then presented with 12 more names in another two columns. A quotation can be found at the base of the scroll. Originally unveiled as a First World War memorial in 1921 with additions after 1945. (1-2)
