Oak crucifix with gabled top and a crucified effigy on the front (memorial known as a Calvary), set on a stone pedestal and three steps within a small garden outside the eastern gable end of St. George's Church. A large stone panel is attached to the wall of the church carrying three black marble plaques. The central one bears a the war memorial dedication: "To the Glory of God / and in memory of / the men whose names / are here recorded who / cheerfully gave their / lives for freedom and / the England they loved / so well in the Great War / 1914-1919 / Their relatives / have erected this tablet / and adjoining cross". A poem is written beneath this. The plaques either side of the dedication carry the names of those who fell in two staggered columns. (1). Originally unveiled in 1919. Memorial is recorded as being badly damaged in 2005 and the figure from the cross as 'gone' in 2007, but Streetview images from 2009 (2) show that figure has been replaced.
