War Memorial Cross, South side of The Green, Middridge (Middridge)
Rough-hewn granite cross on a tapering pedestal and single step set inside a small fenced and gated enclosure on the south side of the main road through the village, opposite The Green and Northside Terrace. Polished plaque on the front face of the pedestal dedicates the cross in memory of men of the district who fell in the First World War, names in a single column. At the foot of the step to the front of the memorial is a slab with a sloped top which bears the dedication and names for WW2, this is flanked by two small flower holders. Originally unveiled 1921.
