Grey granite encircled cross of Celtic type on a two tiered pedestal set within a stone kerbed enclosure, itself within a two-bar railed off area with nine short stone-built columns at corners and midpoints. Entrance to memorial area through short wrought iron gates between the two taller stone columns and low walls on the roadward side. Dedication is carried on the front face of the upper part of the pedestal: Erected by the / inhabitants of the village / to the eternal memory of / the men who gave their lives / for King and Country / during the Great War / 1914-1918. First World War names are on the sides of the upper pedestal. Lower pedestal dedicated to the Second World War. Memorial enclosure contains a large boulder known as St. Ives' Stone, from whom the village takes its name. Unveiled on Good Friday, 1920. (1-2)
