Located at the junction of the A690 and Holy Well Lane south west of Helmington Row village, set back from the road in a semi-circular paved area adjacent to Helmington Manor. The memorial is in the form of a squared column of sandstone resting on three bases of increasing size atop a single step. The top of the column is formed of a pyramidal capstone, a wreath carved in half relief just beneath this on the front face. Upper base inscribed with a quotation: "They died that we might live. May we be worthy of their sacrifice". The central base bears the dates of the First World War whilst the lower base recounts that the memorial was erected in remembrance of the men of Helmington Row and Sunnybrow who gave their lives in the Great War. Names of the WW1 dead are carried in two columns on a panel down the front face of the main shaft; names for WW2 are located down the right hand side on another panel. (1-2)
