Located on an island/village green surrounded by roads passing through the village centre, this memorial is in the form of a Wolsingham sandstone cross on a slim, octagonal, tapering shaft on a square pedestal of sandstone with four steps. Set inside a stone-walled area with eight flat-topped columns, wrought iron gate and internal paving and chippings. Dedication carried on one of the faces of the pedestal in honour of all who gave their lives in the First World War and WW2 with names carried in single columns on the other faces. Unveiled in 1921, presumably rededicated with the addition of WW2 information after 1945. (1-2)
