Memorial cross in the north west corner of St. John the Evangelist Churchyard, opposite the vicarage on the south side of Hallimond Road. Small encircled granite cross on a 9ft pedestal, that stands on a square base at the top of three steps, the whole surrounded by a low railing. Dedication on the front face to the men of Escomb who gave their lives for their country in the First World War, names inscribed on the sides of the pedestal spreading onto the risers of the top step. Additional inscriptions to commemorate WW2 and the N Ireland conflict. Unveiled 1921. St. John the Evangelist Church has been demolished. (1-2)
