Cockfield Methodist Church (Cockfield)
A Methodist chapel first appears at the western end of the village, off Front Street, on the second edition Ordnance Survey map of 1894-99 (1). By the third edition OS map (2) the church has been significantly extended and has remained roughly the same size since. Google Streetview data shows that the church exists today as quite a modern looking building with five plain glass arched windows on the front gable and an arched doorway set back behind a stone wall and iron gate with tall stone gateposts. The church is known to contain a First World War memorial (3-4).
