Medieval farmstead, High Knott, Yearl Hill, Forest-in-Teesdale (Forest-in-Teesdale)
The remains of a small Medieval farmstead can be seen here.There are three buildings, a yard and a clearance cairn. The larger building has two rooms and a porch. These are Scheduled Ancient Monuments, protected by law (6).
Rectangular house foundations, interpreted as a Medieval or Post Medieval farmstead and Anglo-Saxon longhouse, house platform and clearance cairn. Scheduled (8).
