This well was noted by a member of public in March 2013 when a hole opened in the ground following heavy rains.

A well and trough appear on the first edition [Ordnance Survey map] at this location. It does not appear on any later Ordnance Survey editions and is presumed to have been capped off sometime in the later 19th century.

The well was described as circular and dry-stone lined, approximately 1.5m-2m in diameter.
