The East Deanery represents the extant remains of the 13th century collegiate buildings for prebends of the Church of St Andrew. It was erected from 1291 by Bishop Bek and is constructed from stone rubble with quoins, ashlar dressings and a pantiled roof. The structure comprises three ranges round a courtyard and was altered in the 16th, 19th and 20th centuries. It was latterly used as farm buildings.
