Pant erected in 1848. Ashlar with cast-iron pump and stone-flagged roof. Gothic Revival style. Chamfered plinth to high square column with water-leaf angle shafts. Concave cornice and pyramidal hipped roof with roll-moulded base to bud finial. Cast-iron pump on west side.

In 2009 the pant was incorporated as the centrepiece of a new war memorial garden (3-4).
