A post medieval wellhead is visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs. Two associated drains can be seen to the east and southwest of the well head, visible as earthworks on LiDAR. The features are extant on the latest 2006 vertical photographs. The well head forms part of the designed landscape of Auckland Castle Park (H1399).
