This is the Roman Catholic Church of St Joseph's in Stanley, built between 1898-1902 (1). Streetview images (2) show that the church is stone-built with a porch and the southern transept projected out from the southern wall of the nave. The eastern end of the building has a curved apse with gable copings whilst the rest of the roof over the nave is steeply pitched. Stone cross finials adorn the apex over the western gable and the southern transept. The church is known to contain a number of features dedicated as war memorials (3). It is a listed building.
